Supporting the Talent Pipeline: Goldsun’s Collaboration with Hanoi University of Science and Technology

April 1, 2026

For manufacturing companies, the challenge of growth is not only about expanding capacity or upgrading technology—it is also about ensuring the availability of capable people who can sustain that growth over time.

At Goldsun, this understanding has shaped how we approach collaboration with academic institutions. Rather than engaging only at the point of recruitment, we have chosen to work earlier in the talent journey—supporting students while they are still in the process of developing their technical foundation.

On March 27, 2026, we formalized this approach through a sponsorship program with Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST). The initiative was introduced during a joint event that included a talk show, a cooperation signing, and direct engagement between our team and students from the School of Materials Science and Engineering.

The total sponsorship package is VND 200 million, structured with both immediate and longer-term impact in mind. Of this amount, VND 50 million is allocated to scholarships for selected students, while VND 150 million is dedicated to supporting training programs, internship activities, and collaborative initiatives between the university and Goldsun.

The scholarship component is designed to recognize students who demonstrate both academic performance and a clear interest in industry-relevant fields such as Printing Engineering and Polymer & Composite Materials Technology. The selection criteria focus not only on GPA—set at a minimum of 3.0—but also on the student’s intention to pursue a career in manufacturing, materials, or packaging.

Alongside scholarships, we have introduced a structured internship pathway, with an initial intake of 10 students for a three-month internship program. This allows students to transition from theoretical learning into practical exposure, gaining a clearer understanding of production environments, technical processes, and workplace expectations.

From our perspective, the value of this collaboration lies in its continuity. It creates a channel through which students can develop relevant skills, while also allowing us to better understand the capabilities and expectations of future talent.

At the same time, this initiative contributes to a broader ecosystem. The relationship between universities and industry plays a critical role in aligning education with real-world requirements—whether through internships, research collaboration, or knowledge exchange. It also provides a platform for discussing emerging trends in materials, printing technology, and manufacturing systems.

This effort is part of how we approach our responsibility under ESG, particularly within the Social dimension. Supporting education, improving access to career opportunities, and contributing to workforce development are practical ways in which we can create long-term value beyond our immediate business operations.

Looking ahead, we expect this collaboration to evolve further—expanding into deeper engagement in areas such as applied research, technology transfer, and long-term talent development. For us, investing in people is not a separate activity; it is closely linked to how we build capability for the future.
